The clock chimed once…twice…and a third time.
It was two a.m. and he had finally completed his latest experiment. A true definition of his skill.
After six months of research, testing and retesting, he was done. All his hard work, sweat and tears were standing before him in all its strange glory.
“I did it.” He whispered. “I did it!” He erupted with laughter and danced around the being. “Oh, you are my greatest accomplishment.” He gushed, clasping his hands together and staring up at the creature.
It stood over six feet tall with a decrepit body but packed with thick muscle of its chest, arms, abdominals and legs. Its black flesh shined in the moonlight and its bright red eyes were motionless.
He swallowed hard as touch the creature’s frame. “A thing of sheer beauty. I think I will call you Malcolm. Would you like that?”
The being turned his head down to look him in the eyes.
“Mal…Mal…colm.”
“Yes! That’s it! Malcolm.”
“Ma…Mal…colm. Malcolm.”
“You got it!” Malcolm took a staggering step forward, followed by another one. He reached for him with his red eyes glowing with a newfound rage. “Wait a minute, Malcolm. Y-you can’t hurt me. I’m your father. I created you.”
“Malcolm.” The monster repeated as he wrapped his large hand around his neck and lifted him into the air.
“W-What are you…Y-You’re….supposed to kill…for…me.”
“Malcolm.” The monster replied.
He felt this throat crushing and his airway was shortening quick. He kicked at the monster but to no avail did the massive being budge. He pried at his enormous hand but he was losing the fight quicker than it even started.
“I…made…” His vision blurred as he heard the last beats of his heart.
