I started this challenge almost 2 weeks ago and I LOVE IT!
Good afternoon everyone!
I know that I have not been here in a while and that is because I have been over at my other blog, building my platform and other things but I have not stopped writing.
In fact, I started a 365 challenge inspired by the latest writing contest I entered via Esquire Magazine.
The contest asked for writers submit a story….a story that is only 79 words! Can you believe it! Well after a week or so of trying to figure out what to write, a writing buddy of mine asked for me and a few others to read her submission. After reading her submission and getting some tips (I hate word counts with a passion) I went to work on my story.
And then it hit me…
What if I challenged myself to write 365 short shorts? And thus the 79-Words Daily Challenge was born!
I started the challenge on July 24th to be exact and today is the 14th day! I do have a special page set up on my other blog that features the all the short shorts that I have written so far, so please check them out and let me know what you think.
So far with doing this challenge I have learned a lot about myself when it comes to restrictions. I have always hated word limits (because I tend to go way over them) and I am a long winded person when it comes to writing. So this has been a great exercise for me.

Oh and did, I mention I am thinking of writing a new YA Supernatural/Paranormal piece? Yeah and it might get its own blog too!
